Hill climber wins local ride

18 Jan, 2012 11:00 AM
A solo breakaway by Clare cyclist Annabel Cox on the hilly Mintaro to Sevenhill road resulted in her winning the local Clare and Gilbert Valleys Council Community Ride on Sunday.

She completed the 72 kilometre ride from Tarlee to Clare (via Riverton, Saddleworth and Mintaro) in a little over two hours.

That was after riding the 52 kilometres from Clare to Tarlee as a “warm-up”, leaving Clare at 6.30am and arriving in Tarlee at 8.20am.
