Clare Horse and Pony Club held their annual President’s Cup on Sunday December 13.
It was Christmas cheer all round and riders did a great job of dressing their horses up for the best dressed competition, this was won by Maddie Maynard who was dressed as ‘Maddie Claus’ aboard her pony Sam.
With a good turn out of riders the day got off to a start with several different fun novelties for all.
Overall Hamish McGregor and his team of riders won the day, but by only one point - it came down to the wire in the Monte Carlo game, each rider in the winning team was awarded with a ribbon and a President’s Cup badge for their pony club jumper.
Riders enjoyed a pooled lunch at the end of the day and others received achievement strips to put on their pony club jumpers.
Other events coming up include the beach ride on January 3, take your pony along to Wallaroo north shore to enjoy a day of riding.
Don’t forget about the annual camp coming up on January 16 and 17.
The weekend of fun will begin on the Saturday with lessons, a triathlon, barrel jump and this year will incorporate a mini dressage and showjumping competition for all riders.
