Clare model Brittney Dudley has made it through to the first round of Australia’s Next Top Model.
Brittney auditioned to be part of a George Gross and Harry Who fashion parade at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide, when she went to have a look at the Australia’s Next Top Model audition.
“As we were getting closer to it, one guy spotted her (Brittney) and then they all came over, they took her off regardless and then she had a number (to audition) it was very overwhelming,” her mother Tanya Dudley said.
After interviews with The Advertiser newspaper and radio station SAFM, Brittney was told she had made it to the first round of Australia’s Next Top Model.
“She is so confident out there, she just owns the catwalk,” Tanya said.
At 183cm with size nine and a half feet, Brittney is on her way to living her dream.
Brittney began working with modelling agency Spears at the age of 12 when living in Perth.
“From there Vivians (another agency) found me and I did a show for them,” Brittney said.
She then entered Perth’s Model Search during Perth Fashion week and placed third runner-up.
“There were about 1000 children who tried out for it and she got in the top 20 and was then placed third runner-up,” Tanya said.
After moving to Clare, Brittney attended the local high school and was working as a check out operator.
She is now studying as an open access student and is fulfilling her modelling dream, with the positive support of teachers and her family.
Upcoming fashion shows for Brittney include the Clipsal 500 and Melbourne Fashion Week.
She has modelled clothes for the Bull Rush catalogue winter 2009, summer 2009 -2010 and will feature in the winter 2010 catalogue.
“They’ve already said she won’t stay here and she will end up on the runway in Paris and New York,” Tanya said.
